Spreadsheet Activity Sheet #2

(to be graded)

Open Microsoft Excel and follow the directions below.  Use the handout “Using the Spreadsheet Worksheet” to help you.  This project is graded, so you may not get help from other students.

1.     In cells A1 through H1, type in these numbers in order:

31   78   17   75   98   32   44   6  

2.     In cell A3, type in a formula that will add all 8 numbers together.

3.     In cell A5, type in a formula that will show the average of all 8 numbers.

4.     In cell A7, type in a formula that multiplies the numbers in A1, B1, and C1 together.

5.     In cell A9, type in a formula that takes your answer in cell A7 and divides it by 255.

6.     Look at the numbers in cells A1 through H1.  Find the highest and the lowest numbers.  In cell A11, type in a formula that subtracts the lowest number from the highest number.

7.     In cell A13, type in a formula that finds the SUM of the numbers in cells A1 through D1 and SUBTRACTS the SUM of the numbers in cells E1 through H1.

8.     In cell A15, type your first name.  In cell A16, type your last name.

When you finish your work, SAVE your work and PRINT a copy.  Staple a copy of the checksheet on the front of your work.  Write your name and section on the checksheet and turn in your work

When your work is turned in, you may do your choice on the computer.
