3rd Grade Computer Project
You have been learning about the computers and computer programs all year.
Now it is time to show everyone what you have learned!
Who you may work with:
- You will work alone (no partners).
- You may ask another student for help if you have a problem, but you must do your own work.
Project:
1. Create a story and type it into Microsoft Word
- Your story must be at least 1/2 page single spaced or at least 1 page double spaced. Your may choose any font that you like, but the size can be no bigger than 14. (Your title can be bigger.)
- Your work must be set up correctly (titles centered, tab paragraphs).
- You must have no spelling errors (spell check and proofread).
- You must use proper sentences, capitals and punctuation.
- Your story must include quotations (characters speak, use quotation marks).
2. Create a cover for your story
- Use Microsoft Publisher or Paint
-Your graphics must go with the story.
- You must include your title and the author’s name (your name).
3. Create an illustration (picture) page
- Use a graphics program (Paint, Microsoft Publisher, graphics from Microsoft Word).
- You may draw your own graphics or use graphics from a library. You may also get a graphic from the Internet.
- Your page must include at least 1 picture, but it can have more.
4. E-Mail the teacher about your project
- When you finish your work, sent the computer teacher an e-mail.
- Tell the teacher the title of your story.
- Write one sentence to tell the teacher what your story is about

5. Turn in your finished project
- You must have the story page(s), cover, and picture page(s).
